Q. What is the extent of your experience?
A. 20+ years in business specifying and building PC’s, networks, and solutions. Extensive experience in Network Administration and general business practices.

Q. What makes you different than your competitors?
A. We are a “Geek” company with people skills! Solutions and recommendations are explained in simple, understandable terms.

Q. Do you build “white box” solutions?
A. In general, we recommend equipment from major vendors. PC’s are commodity items these days. We can help you “spec” equipment that meets your needs, find the best prices, and then advise you when to buy the equipment. We DO build PC’s for specialized situations where extreme or unusual computing environments are required.

Q. What servers do you use?
A. That depends on what you need now and will need in the future. We recommend solutions that will meet your immediate need yet accomodate your growing business.  We provide custom built servers, and servers from Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

Q. I need someone to come in, evaluate our entire system and give us a bid. Do you offer free consultation?
A. Initial consultations are free. We will give your system an overview and summarize our initial thoughts. If you need a more in-depth analysis, we will do a four or eight hour evaluation at a reduced fixed rate. We should mention, we pride ourselves in being thorough and methodical. If you simply need the most work at the cheapest price – you may opt to look elsewhere.

Q. Do you have references?
A. Absolutely–Upon request.

Q. Do you support Linux servers?
A. Yes. We specialize in Redhat and CentOS.

Q. Can you help with multiple offices and VPN’s?
A. Yes, there are a number of appliances that can handle VPN’s with ease and plug into your network.

Q. We need a back-up solution. What do you recommend?
A. There are a number of new solutions on the market. Back-up tapes used to be the standard. Now, removable hard drives, network attached storage, and redundant servers have made the disk-based back-up a viable solution. We also offer a back-up solution that would allow a bare metal server restore possible in less than an hour!  We are now offering cloud based backups. Contact us for details.

Q. Do you offer business solutions for Antivirus?
A. Yes…. NOD32. We install it on a server. It receives updates by way of the internet. Workstations receive updates from the server. This results in almost instant updates on the workstations and a much-reduced load on your network bandwidth.

Q. Are you experienced on every type of hardware and software platform?
A. No. Anyone who tells you they are is not being honest with you. We have experience with a vast array of PC’s, servers, routers, internet connections, and software. We don’t claim to know all the answers but we DO know where to find the answers and support needed to keep your business running.  We partner with experienced businesses and access to some of the best experts in the industry.

Q. I will need substantial support services within the next few months, but don’t know when this service will be required. Do you offer support contracts?
A. Yes. We can provide a support contract (such as 30 hours within 90 days) at very affordable rates.

Q. We lost our full time/dedicated IT “guru” and are going to hire another one. Can you help us in the interim?
A. This is actually a common business problem. What to do in the period from that last IT staff member leaving and their replacement? Don’t let your business suffer. We can fill that short term need for you.
